This policy covers data collected specifically through your use of Katsu Trim. It should be read alongside the Katsu Digital Platform Privacy Policy, which covers your account data, cookies, and general platform use.

1. What Katsu Trim collects

When you use Katsu Trim we collect the video files you upload for processing, anonymous usage statistics including video duration, file size, number of cuts made, and the detected language of your footage. If you leave feedback we collect your star rating and any comment you provide. Your name and email are automatically associated with your feedback from your Katsu Digital account.

2. How your video files are handled

Video files you upload are used solely to perform the editing service you requested. Files are temporarily stored using Cloudflare R2 during processing and are automatically deleted within 24 hours. We do not view, analyse beyond what is necessary for processing, permanently store, or share your video content with any third party.

3. Transcription data

To remove filler words and pauses, Katsu Trim transcribes your audio using an AI model running on our servers. This transcription is processed in memory and is not stored permanently. It is used only to identify sections of your video to remove.

4. Usage limits and tracking

We track the number of videos you process each month to enforce free tier limits. This data is stored against your Katsu Digital account and is used solely for service management purposes.

5. Feedback

If you submit feedback through the feedback form, your star rating, comment, name, and email are stored securely. This data is used solely to improve the service and is never shared with third parties.

6. Data sharing

Video files are temporarily stored with Cloudflare R2. Beyond this, no video data or processing data is shared with any third party. Please refer to the Katsu Digital Platform Privacy Policy for information on account data sharing.

8. Changes to this policy
